Honda Cars India registers domestic sales of 5 457 units in November’21

• Supply-demand disparity continues to be a hurdle for the industry
New Delhi, December 01, 2021: Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium
cars in India, registered monthly domestic sales of 5 457 units in November 2021. HCIL also
exported a total of 1 447 units in November 2021.
Commenting on Nov’21 sales performance, Mr. Rajesh Goel, Sr. Vice President and Director-
Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd said, “Despite consistent demand in the market, supplyside
issues owing to the global chip shortage remain a concern. The company had to resort to
non-production days in November’21 because of the same. We have been selling our entire
production stock during the last few months and making all efforts to meet the market demand
as much as possible.”
The company had registered 9 990 units in domestic sales in the corresponding period last year.
The export numbers stood at 31 in Nov’20.
