Honda Cars India Ltd. registers domestic sales of 17,020 units in August 2018

New Delhi, September 1, 2018: Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), leading
manufacturer of passenger cars in India, registered monthly domestic sales of
17,020 units in August 2018.
HCIL also exported a total of 601 units in August 2018.
The company has been maintaining strong sales momentum in the current fiscal year
and has sold 79,599 units during April – Aug 2018 with a cumulative
growth of over 9% as against 73,012 units in the corresponding period
April – August 2017.
Mr. Rajesh Goel, SVP and Director, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd.
. said, “There was an impact of Kerala floods and heavy rains in many parts
of the country combined with GST related high base effect of Aug 17. We hope to
recover quickly and keep growing strongly with rollout of attractive offers starting
from today through the festive season ahead.”
The company had sold 17,365 units in August 2017.
